Notifications- Items that need approval or summary of week's activity

Add Item- Six different options to add an item to the class
(photo, video, drawing, upload file, note, or link)


Feed View- Feed view of items posted in the class

Calendar View- Calendar with number of items added per date


Skills View- Available in Seesaw Plus (paid version) tag items to specific skills

Unapproved Items- Items pending approval


Get Class Code- QR code or Pin to log into class


Manage Class- Settings for students, parents, blog and folders

Invite Parents-Printed or email invitations available


Gear Wheel (next to name)

Account Settings- Edit name, email or password

New Class- Create New Class

Scan QR Code- Opens camera to scan QR code

Share Seesaw- Share Seesaw with peers

Getting Started: Getting Started Checklist


Student Sign In:

QR Code or Text Code is recommended for Pre-K-3rd grade

Teacher will receive a Class Code in Manage Class > Student Sign In Mode.
  • Class Code for classes sharing devices
  • Class Code for classes with 1:1 devices


Google Account or Email is recommended for 4th grade and above.

Teacher will receive a Join Code in Manage Class > Student Sign In Mode.
  • Join Code (four letter code) when using Email or Google Account

Archiving Your Class at the End of the Year

At the end of the year don't remove students or delete your class. Simply Archive your class. Follow these easy steps:
  • Tap on the profile icon (top left)
  • Tap on MANAGE CLASS
  • Scroll down to the bottom and choose "ARCHIVE CLASS"
